Chronic Pain Support and Management Group

Are you struggling with chronic PAIN? And looking to be more comfortable?

Join us for support and learn skills to be more comfortable. We will explore guided imagery, mindfulness, conscious breathing, gentle movement and relaxation techniques. These techniques are shown to be beneficial in pain management. Our nervous system senses the pain and we react to the sensation. Many factors come into the pain process.  You can learn skills to begin shifting the patterns of your pain.  Once just a small shift in your relationship to your pain occurs, everything starts looking and feeling different.  Medical evaluation for pain recommended.  Learn to sense more ease in your life.

Bring anything you want to increase your comfort.  We expect to be mostly sitting with occasional optional standing.  Throughout, you can choose your most comfortable position.

This group is open to the community but what is shared in the group is private within the group.  Our goal is to create an atmosphere where people can share and be themselves, with trust and without judgment.  We ask group members to respect each other’s privacy and confidentiality.

You may want to come early to meet classmates and settle in.  And you may want to move to another nook in the Center to continue connecting after class.

Please print, sign form and bring to class: Waiver of Liability and Informed Consent
